HBCU MOVEMENT MAKES HISTORY WINS NBL-US CHAMPIONSHIP

Houston, Texas – In a historic and thrilling championship game, the HBCU Movement emerged victorious over the Woodlands Warhawks with a final score of 95-87, securing their place in history as the first professional basketball team composed of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) athletes to win a championship. The game, held at San Jacinto College-North, showcased the talent, determination, and skill of the HBCU Movement, culminating in a memorable victory.

Championship Game Recap:
The HBCU Movement, led by Gerone “Bull” Woods and Finals MVP Maurice “Moe” Redmond III, demonstrated exceptional teamwork and resilience throughout the game. Redmond III delivered a stellar performance, scoring 22 points and leading his team to triumph. Despite a valiant effort by the Woodlands Warhawks, the Movement’s strategic plays and unwavering focus secured their 95-87 victory.
