Houston, Texas — December 12th, 2023 — The HBCU Movement, a trailblazer in professional basketball, announces a groundbreaking step forward as it joins the National Basketball League-United States (NBL-US) for the upcoming 2024 season. This strategic move aims to propel the Movement’s brand internationally and contribute to the league’s growing reputation on the global basketball stage.

The NBL-US, entering its 5th season, has already established itself as a prominent force within the United States and beyond. The league has distinguished itself by sending multiple players to compete internationally and recently solidified its global presence by becoming the official partner league of the NBL-Philippines. Furthermore, in an unprecedented move, the NBL-US has partnered with NBL-Singapore to host the NBL-International Cup in August 2024. This event will bring together teams from Asia, including NBL-Philippines, NBL-Singapore, showcasing the NBL-US’s global expansion.
