Houma, Louisiana welcomes the excitement of professional basketball as the Louisiana Kajun Gators proudly join the National Basketball League-United States (NBL-US) for the 2024 season. The Kajun Gators mark a significant milestone as the first-ever professional basketball team to call Houma, Louisiana, home.
Karen Dilliard, the proud owner of the Louisiana Kajun Gators, expressed her enthusiasm about bringing the team to Houma and joining the NBL-US, stating, “I am thrilled to introduce the Louisiana Kajun Gators to the vibrant community of Houma. Our goal is to not only showcase top-tier basketball talent but also to create a lasting impact on the local sports culture. Joining the NBL-US is an exciting journey, and we look forward to contributing to the league’s legacy.”
Karen Dilliard is the second female owner in the NBL-US, following in the footsteps of Eastside Netz owner Dianna Williams.
Commissioner David Hutchinson shared his excitement about the addition of the Kajun Gators to the NBL-US, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome the Louisiana Kajun Gators to the NBL-US family.
